Patrick: Hey Jeness, are you free tonight? I wanted to go to the movies. Do you want to come with me?

Jeness: That sounds fun, but what’s playing? I usually watch old movies, so I don’t know anything about the new ones.

Patrick: I never knew that. Well… I can introduce you to something new. It’s Tuesday, so we can get them half off.

Jeness: Can my boyfriend come too? It’s his day off today so a whole group of us can go.

Patrick: Does he like sci-fi movies?

Jeness: Do you like them? To tell you the truth, I would never choose to watch sci-fi. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten through one before. They’re too confusing.

Patrick: What do you have to lose? Sometimes they show the beautiful future, and sometimes they’re dark and scary. Who knows?

Jeness: Okay fine, I’ll come. But only if he can come too.

Patrick: Of course he can. But can he come for some food before too? There’s a new stew joint near the theatre downtown. My friend works there, I can ask her if she can get us a discount.

Jeness: You’re so frugal! Isn’t it kind of rude to see her and ask her for some free stew?

Patrick: I guess her boss has a rule where students get a discount. If she tells him you’re a student, we can save some money.

Jeness: Fine, but we should go get my boyfriend in a few minutes because if I leave him waiting for too long, he’ll make plans without me.
