Nico: How was your trip to Tofino?
Lou: It was, surprising, to say the least. I should have stayed a bit longer.
Nico: What was surprising about it? You’re from BC, it couldn’t have been your first time there. it’s one of the most famous places in Canada, isn’t it?
Lou: Well I heard it was amazing, but I never expected it to be that amazing. I stayed two days, I would have stayed a whole week if I could have.
Nico: What was it that you liked so much? My brother says that the surfing there is crazy. I heard that there’s some big waves there.
Lou: I enjoyed everything about it, although I shouldn’t have skipped the surfing. I was too scared to try it, I tried it if the weather was a bit better.
Nico: I would have surfed even if the weather was terrible, it’s so much fun. I just love spending time at the beach, I love the noise and the smells of the ocean.
Lou: I would have tried it if I had someone to go with, but I was alone. I’m having some trouble with my girlfriend these days.
Nico: You couldn’t have gone with your girlfriend, buddy. She can’t swim, I’d be amazed if she could surf.
Lou: I wouldn’t have gone with that girlfriend, I would have gone with my other girlfriend.
Nico: I should have known.
